Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Village Head Leadership on the quality of public services both at the Pasar Siborongborong Village office, Siborongborong District. The sample of this study is 95 people who deal with the Pasar Siborongborong Village Office, Siborongborong District.

The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and observations. The analysis methods used are Correlation Coefficient Analysis, simple linear regression analysis and correlation coefficient significance test. The results of the study showed that there was a positive correlation between the Leadership of the Village Head (X) and the Quality of Public Services (Y) at the Pasar Siborongborong Village Office, this was evidenced by the results of the correlation calculation with a value of 0.413 categorized in the medium category.

The Village chiefvariable has a tally of 4,377 > a ttable of 1,985. The result of the regression value is Y= 11,858 + 0.442X, which means that if the value of the Village Head Leadership increases by 1, the Quality of Public Services increases by 0.442. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.171 or 17.10%, meaning that the Quality of Public Services can be explained by the variable of Village chiefand the remaining 82.90% is other independent variables. The conclusion of the results of this study shows that the leadership of the village head has a moderate effect on the performance of public services at the office of Pasar Siborongborong Village, Siborongborong District.
