Abstract

Work Discipline is a tool that managers use to communicate with employees so that they are willing to change behavior as well as various efforts to increase a person's awareness and willingness to comply with all company regulations and applicable social norms.This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of work discipline on employee performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office in Humbang Hasundutan. This type of research is quantitative research. The population is all employees of the Humbang Hasundutan Population and Civil Registration Service with a total of 35 employees.The results of the research and discussion carried out show that the correlation between the Work Discipline variable (X) and Employee Performance (Y) at the Population and Civil Registration Service Office in Humbang Hasundutan is 0.471. As a guide to interpreting the correlation coefficient, the coefficient found is 0.471. Includes a fairly strong category. R square is 0.222. This shows that the influence of work discipline on employee performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office in Humbang Hasundutan is 47.1% and the remaining 52.9% is influenced by factors not discussed in this research. So it can be concluded that the Work Discipline variable (X) influences the Employee Performance variable (Y) at the Population and Civil Registration Service Office in Humbang Hasundutan. The significance of the variable correlation is 3.065. Then this value is compared with the t table with an error level of 5% df = n-2 = 33. The t table value is 1.692. In accordance with the hypothesis testing requirements that t count (3.065) > t table (1.692) it can be concluded that Work Discipline (X) has a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance (Y) in the Population and Civil Registration Service, so the research hypothesis is accepted.
