This research aims to determine the influence of work motivation on work performance at the Sipahutar sub-district office, North Tapanuli Regency, where the number of employees is 26 people. From temporary observations the author sees that work motivation has not been implemented well in accordance with the organization's expectations and is proven by the results of employee work performance which is still less than optimal. This is what makes the author go deeper into researching what are the obstacles and problems so that not maximal.The data collection tools used were observation, interviews and questionnaires. To calculate the closeness of the relationship between variables using a simple correlation coefficient, the results obtained show that Work Motivation (X) on Work Performance (Y) of 0.799 is in the strong category.The Determination Coefficient obtained was 0.639% or 63.9%. This shows that the influence of Work Motivation (X) on Work Performance (Y) at the Sipahutar Subdistrict Office, North Tapanuli Regency is 63.9% and the remaining 36.1% is influenced by other variables not discussed in this research.From the calculation results, through simple linear regression calculations the line equation is Y = 6,591 + 0,564 X, which means the result obtained (b) is 0.564, which means that if Work Motivation (Variable X) increases by 1 then Work Performance will increase by 0.564.Hypothesis testing results tcount 6,514 > ttable1.711, this means that the Work Motivation variable (X) has a positive and significant influence on Work Performance at the Sipahutar Subdistrict Office, North Tapanuli Regency, so the research hypothesis is accepted.
